Coin Toss at PHS Baseball Game
Mr. Howard Thomas threw out the first pitch at a PHS baseball game. After serving his country, Mr. Thomas went on to play baseball for Virginia Tech. Unsurprisingly, he threw a strike!

Coin Toss at PHS Football Games
Mr. Orandorff (left) and Mr. Spielberger (below) were each made an honorary football captain for a Poquoson High School home football game.
During their game, each veteran was recognized for his military service and each got to perform the coin toss at the start of the game.
Student Section at PHS Football Games
When walking off the field after each of their coin tosses, both Mr. Orandorff (left) and Mr. Spielberger (below) were greeted by the PHS "student section" in the stands.
Poquoson High students, most of which are not in the project, can be counted on to support the recognized veterans with a chant of "U-S-A" at every home football game.
